My thoughts and prayers go out to families and friends of both parties involved in the accident Friday night at the drags.

This doesn't sound good at all. What happened?
tsak01a
It was a Sandcar vs quad accident at the end of the drags. I was at the start of the drags and didn't see exactly what happened, but the outcome wasn't good for anyone.

The only good I could see was that there were plenty of qualified people who provided aide, as BLM and Sheriff's office was no where to be found.

I would like to send a special thanks to the guy and girl in the orange Subaru turbo car that were helping. If ever I find myself in need of assistance I can only pray someone would respond as fast and professionally as they did. When we ran into them at the dunes before the accident, we thought they were pretty cool and we were checking out his car. We had no idea what he did for a living, but after the accident it was clear he and the girl with him were in the medical field.

Thanks Gunner, I was that guy in the orange Subaru. My heart goes out to the family of Jason and all the people that where involved. I dont know about anyone else, it seemed like forever for any offical or BLM ranger to arrive, and when they did arrive i was very unaware of there skill level which is very little. I have been going to the Gordons Well for years and always thought they had atleast a Paramedic unit between Gordons and Buttercup. After talking to people this weekend i guess they only have Paramedics available for big weekends. Again my thoughts and prayers go out to both of the families involved, any word of how the little boy in the back of the buggy is doing.

It was forever, and like you said once they arrived, I wasn't impressed. You guys and the others who were the first responders were more professional. That is why I was thanking you guys.

I keep checking hoping to hear something...

Just keeping you informed Jason's obituary is in the San Diego Tribune today. I plan on giving to the memorial fund. Services are being held on Sunday at 3pm in El Cajon.
