Chum, just look at the canals and you'll see the difference.

At buttercup you can hit the eastern canal right under I-8 and you'll be fine. Not as populated, not as many idiots, not as much law enforcement since Buttercup tends to have more family oriented ppl. Go to Glamis or Gordons if you wanna see drag races, drunks and tits. Buttercup is more directed towards the families and mellow crowd although it still gets rowdy.

On a big weekend South dunes are the way to go. LEAD DOG, you're missing out brotha.

What Travis said is right, out of the way and kind of hidden by the bridge. We go under the bridge at the canal at Buttercup when it is hot. Always shade there and a nice dip in the canal after a hard dune run is awesome. Trying to get my brothers to do a day run on Sunday, May 1

I'm sure you'd find a way to fold up your buggy at Buttercup Chummin. Afterall, you've rolled it and collapsed the ass end in the easy dunes. I'd hate to see you try and take the technical shiat.

We were at the canal on easter weekend and the sheriff came by and warned everyone about not swimming! This was the first time we have ever been talked to about it. They were cool just warned everyone and left. It was news to us that you cannot swim there but no big deal.

There are plenty of killer dunes in the south for hard dune runs!

duner21, don't pay attention to bansh88. He couldn't stay on the side of a hill. I'm on 2 wheels and he's on a quad. We're both following a buggy and he started sliding down. He kept it on all four but ended up at the bottom riding through the valley instead. Being the nice guy I am I stopped and made sure he was ok. Damn rookies.

I tell everyone that buttercup and gordons sucks, go to Glamis, that is the place to be... Also tell everyone that the weather sucks in San Diego, you dont want to move here, you will hate it....maybe some will listen and stay away from my favorite spots

you can get to the same canal spot under the 8 that buttercup campers go, just on the other side of the water.

San diego is awesome i try to go at least once per year.

Im not going out to buttercup until next season, we might go out to superstition this weekend for half the day but otherwise buttercup is to far to only stay for a few hours, sry i wish i could though
