thats bitchen. I remember as a kid watching force change trannys in the dirt at carlsbad with the don steves chevy funnycar. those were the days. love the old cars.

nice find don, thanks for sharing. i love old drag racing pictures. wish i was old enough to see those in person. i hate driving past where lions drag strip used to be in long beach, but i do it every day leaving work.

if you ever make it to the march meet or the california hot rod reunion, let me know. im always there with my trailer and camp out all weekend. swing by the trailer, lunch and a cold one is on me. nostalgia drag racing is by far much better than contemporary drag racing.

Used to see that brown camaro witht the black vinyl roof at Fremont all the time, they did some fire burnouts sometimes.

I have always wanted to go the March meet but have never made it, maybe next year. I have raced at Lyons in my B gas Anglia. Last time in Long Beach I couldn't figure out where the Lyons drag strip was.
