Great job!
Got a new computer and it doesn't appear to have any editing software. I got Vegas Movie Studio and it was crashing my previous computer so I ditched it. Sorr, for the high-jack . Does anyone know of a good (easy) video editing software for the PC? I have 2 HD Go Pro's and don't want the 1080 downgraded, etc.
Thanks,
ABC
That depends on what exactly you want to do with your vids. If you want to do some fancy editing with different effects, transitions, titles and all that, the newest version of Vegas would work. Adobe Premiere SHOULD work but I have had problems with it personally. Partly due to my ancient PC that needs to be replaced.
On the other hand, if you just want to be able to trim vids or splice them together in a very basic way, believe it or not Quicktime Pro can do that and it only costs $30 and does not degrade the image quality at all. Trimming a vid is as easy as selecting the part you want, then "save as" and you're done. Saves it as a MOV file which my PC doesn't like very much but youtube will take it just fine.
This is one of the downsides to the GoPro HD model. Editing is more of a pain than the basic model (I just use windows movie maker for mine but it does not do HD).
In a couple months I'll have a new Macbook Pro and a ton of software to play with. Hopefully at that point HD editing will be no problem for me and I can ditch my standard cam.
