mmmmm so u thinks it worth a ride from glendora then what the weather like in the summer time ??? thanks for the info

Dove Springs is absolutely worth the drive from Glendora. It is a great place to camp and tons of trails. The weather gets hot during the summer, but if the weather continues like it has riding should be okay through June.

Even if it is hot, you can hit the trails that take you up to the forest and it would be much cooler.

What's the best way to get there from the 15fwy? Never been, sound like fun.

you could go up the 15 to 395 or across 210 to 14 north. Dove springs is north of Mojave on the 14 before it turns into 395. Just before Dove is jawbone and the jawbone store just north is the jawbone ranger station you can get maps of the area there.

It is just north of mojave about 30 miles on the 14. If you want to avoid going over the pass on the 15 then take the 210 to the 14.

love it we go there all the time
long rides that take all day, never the same trail twice (except for the cabin ride)
found an awesome ride from dove to the tunnel then down a backbone that drops into the base of last chance, then up to the hermit's junk yard and back to dove. takes 6 hours

That is one hell of a ride. The Schmidt mine is pretty cool and fun to walk through. I have only been to Dove Springs a handful of times, but enjoy it as it is change of pace from the dunes.

Our last trip out we were at JawBone and rode from there to Dove - Smidtt tunnel- to Randsburg 102 mile round trip. Man that cheessy burger and choco shake was good at Randsburg. I gotta go eat now

Wow cool pics and great trail map! I grew up doing little runs at Jawbone. I'd love to get out there and see whats really around the corner at Dove Springs. smile.gif
