Calling all Young Guns and Artists!
Its time, after this year’s Tres Regatta we have decided it’s time to get a Young Guns T-Shirts together ,so this is the post that is long over do. Post your ideas for a shirt logo to represent the Young Guns. We would like to see the Young Guns wearing these shirts come next year’s Tres Regatta. We have a few junior builders here and I think we have a few more that haven’t posted or stepped up, but man this would be a great post to get things moving for them and other Young Guns.
So here is the idea; do the best you can to draw what you would like to see as a Young Guns Logo. Remember, this is a representation of us and we will all be wearing this logo, so make it good. We can all discuss and give our thoughts on what can and can’t be worn for ALL ages of the Young Guns. Older Young Guns, remember we are examples for the younger generation, so let’s do what we can to be the best examples.
Now, when we see ideas we need to all give some input on them. We don’t want to see any negative feedback so let’s think about our response before we post it, Okay. With that, we have at least 10 months to decide on just the right logo and get these shirts done.
We will be posting one of our ideas for a logo here, and we have some feedback already and I have taken that into consideration. But we need to post it so we can get the Young Guns and other peeps minds thinking. This will be an opportunity for each of the young guns to meet each other and throw their ideas out there. When we finally have our choice of what we want as a logo, we/I will be looking for someone who knows photo shop to clean the logo up for us.

First off I'm not an artist (I can barely draw a stick figure LOL), but I do have a youngun that's will hopefully be part of next years junior build.

Here's a few my thoughts of what regarding the logo:
Although skulls are very popular I think that they need not be part of this logo..
Something very positive needs to be in the logo as well... I'm thinking a GD flag crossed with a Checkered flag would be cool...

I would also think that guns themselves should not appear either. As you stated, you are setting examples for the young kids to look up to. Good luck with the project.

FTF great idea, but we have to look at what schools would allow kids to wear and use those as part of our guide lines. On a side note great art work, and i agree we need to keep the slap head in on our logo. So what else do we have for logo ideas? Anyone?
FTF - Please keep adding your ideas this is our brain storming session...

Let me see what we can do about putting this idea into a drawing.

Hay Bustin , how about a old west wanted poster ? Wanted young guns , with the Slappy helmet reward $1000000 . For roosting, wheeling causing mayhem you know all the good stuff . Anyway I thought the art was great (IMO) just throwing out an idea.

Very cool logo however unfortunately none of you will be able to wear these to school or any school functions and I know the kids love to wear there gd.com and glamis stuff to school

I like the start of scat's idea and this 'wanted poster' idea is a good one also! Can someone that can draw (def NOT me ) draw up a concept for this? Purty please??

Oh yeah combine a wanted poster with the flags and Slappy

Okay i i will see what i can through together of the western wanted poster with slapster in it. Of course everything i through out there is a rough scetch once we have the full concept we will work on the final art work

Looking really good - How about taking the Wanted poster and keep the Wanted on top and put Young Guns below. Then input the Slappy logo with pistons in the middle of the poster. Keepup the good work!!

Someone mentioned not have pics of guns because of whack school regulations and rules. Just the word "guns" might be a problem too.

I can easily see some school considering "Young Guns" a gang affiliation.

How about team "Young 'Uns"

Okay i checked kids can wear Guns and Roses T-Shirts so we are good with Young Guns...

I have too agree i think Astars Logo is the best, Man Eddie where have you been we could have had you design the logo without even starting this thread . So far we have one idea locked in and that is Astars...
