Ok so Turbo goes thru toys at a turbo rate! We bought a FOOTBALL for him this morning, within 30 minutes both the ends are chewed off. blink.gif He LOVES the pool and playing fetch in the pool (duh he is a retriever laughing.gif ) but we have found that there is not an indestructible, floating toy to be found. Both of our dogs swim daily, Turbo is in there everytime he is out back and thought the pool hose was a floating toy, well now we gotta by a new hose. poor guy just wants to have a toy that he can chase, and chew on that is going to last a while. Any one have a suggestion?

Pit/German shepard/Lab mix, chews like a horse and Kong products have been the best I have found.
The king kong stuffed with peanut butter will keep him busy for hours.
The Water Wubba is great for the water, only way they can kill it is if it gets a rip in it, lasts my dog a good 2 months.
Lastly the Kong Tails are great for catch and general playing around.

P.S.
Freeze the stuffed Kong to really make him work... laughing.gif

KONG is where it is at - they last our destructo dog a few months between purchases. We get the ball and stuff with treats he has to work hard for.

Don't know if they have one that floats?

My sisters Bichon destroys the big Kongs in 2 days or less. She is a nightmare! laughing.gif

yep get the Kong for a large dog and should last. and they have a blast with them.

or i have some slightly used rawhide bones that a a few years old but still in good shape you could have lol.
QueenGlamis
He had a Kong before, killed it. Dead. Rawhides, gone within 30 mins. I don't buy rawhide anymore because at the rate he eats them I don't think it is healthy for him. Seriously. I buy them the marrow (real cow leg bone) bones from the butcher and they can't eat them but they don't float well. laughing.gif

I have seen retriever trainers that float @ Bass Pro shop but they weren't cheap. He never chews anything that he isn't supposed to (well besides the pool hose, but it was floating in the pool and he brought me the piece he broke off. blink.gif ) and he is such a good retriever and loves to play (he is only a puppy still @ 18 months) and swimming is great exercise for both the dogs, there has to be something out there! laughing.gif

We use those big thick ropes(about $20) and they last about 2 months and she has clean teeth! We also used to get these alien looking balls or toys that squeak and she would chew the squeaker out of it. They were tough though.
This might be them or the brand

Good luck.

Try crazy critters, saw them on Tv and so far so good.

whiskey loves those little ducks with the squeekers you can get at petsmart, but within 20 minutes she's dissected it and removed the squeeker and loses interest.

try these, she has had one for a few months and hasn't managed to dissect it yet. its got that squeeker she loves too.

We got our shepards these pink dog bones from old navy. They have been the best so far. They have had them for months. They were cheap too. Check them out might be worth a try.

I had a black lab / pit mix . only thing that held up to him was a croquet ball . He could never brake it down , it floats , it's loud when he would drop it down the porch steps at night .
