my television is about 5 years old, its a rear projection jobbie. well lately i have noticed that the colors just werent there. my buddy tells me to take off the giant cover in the back and clean the 3 lights off. well they were covered in dust and the back of the screen was thick w/ cob-webs ( would have been funny to see spiders climbing up the inside of the tv screen) anyway oh my god what a difference. its like a brand new tv. i never thought the picture was so vivid before, but it must have been. was contemplating on getting a new one.

I have a mitsu 65 projection screen are you talking about the lenses that point upwards when you split the bottom half and top half????

I have 65" Mitsu that I just did the same clenaing to , I velcroed the Wii to it and attached the motion sensor to the front and hooked a 20" extension cord to it and its a rolling Wii console. THe kids move it out into the open and play for hours.

If it has the fluid filled bulbs, sometimes the fluid gets contaminated. You can change the fluid and it will be even better.
