He was doing about 40mph. The car looked like it was in a 100 mph crash though. Thing was crushed like a beer can
ANGRYBUTTCRACK
Lambo is my favorite too.. his spin outs look like ABC at the end of the dragz last few times I ran it..

Almost crashed.. they were washed out/rutted when I hit them over a buck..

I won though...

I hear ya!!!! I would be happy to show that dude what his car can really do!!
SLINGINGSAND
Yup, just like some of the people at Glamis. They can buy the car but they don't know how to drive it.
WRTundra
Ha - I can't imagine how hard it must have been to get that thing to go so fast.
WRTundra
Also to defend that guy - I had a lambo gallardo until just recently, we were playing with it at El Toro and my buddy was driving it who is arguably one of the best drivers in the world and because of the weird traction control system the moment you touch the brake while the car "senses" its losing traction it re-engages all of the nannys and then its nearly impossible to recover.

We spun it out when that happened and the car wouldn't turn on for 20 minutes, I thought we killed it, then it turned on and was fine.
MGM/FRP
I'm just glad it is on a closed course!!!

Wow! Seems like a $200,000 street legal race car would handle better than that

Sh__ Tundra.. I thought you were a young dude.. you owned a Gallardo?

If so, what do you do for work $$ (if you don't mind me askin')?

I love the yellow Gallardo. Saw one in the parking lot of some bounce house party deal we did for my youngest's 4th b-day last Saturday.

50/50 chance I'll buy a lambo one day...

Yeah man, im 28, had it for a couple of years. I work in TV and Internet and somehow I still cant figure out how to imbed a youtube video on this forum. Anyways...

And coobie - it does handle well but if you get sloppy at 220 and hit the breaks you are going to start doing circles. Here are some photos from the day we were at El Toro - Im the guy in the red hat.

I remember the article on this camaro:
Dan and R.J. Gottlieb's wicked '69 Camaro was never really a street car. In fact, it was a Camaro body draped onto a stock car-like chassis, with big engine setback and full-race hardware. But it looked like the world's most badass street car, and its 220-mph performance at the Silver State Open Road Race in 1990 proved that to be true. It inspired many Pro Touring cars built to chase that speed.

Bad a$$ right there....
zilla68
that yellow lambo is BAD ARSE man! Very nice car.

The Silver State Open has turns though. This Lambo guy would be 1/4 mile out in the desert after the first turn. tongue.gif

I saw this car in person several years ago at the Riverside Casino museum in Laughlin. I remember staring at it for quite a while and thinking that I wanted to build one. I wound up with a 69 Chevelle instead, but it was definetly a Bad (_|_) car for sure.

Looked like the shoot was the culprit. Seemed to yank the car to the side when deployed!

Scary....
