I know that this subject has been covered before, but nothing really specific to me. Finally I got the new engine (lifan 125) and I bought a new dratv intake manifold so the carb (keihin 22mm copy) will fit. Believe it or not the hole that goes to the engine is smaller than the one that goes to the carb. Is that normal? the difference is 1/8 0f an inch. I read that somebody had the same situation before, but i think he just use another intake and that was it. Any help will be very useful, thanks.

Flipping it around will not fix it...the carb would be sitting sideways...I had the same prob but I went with the intake that the motor came with..try eBay..to get another one:.

That is how both of my carbs sit on both of my bikes.

do you have to modify the dr atv intake to fit our bikes (hitting the gas tank) with the 22mm dr atv carb. or is there one that fits

Nope, it's not normal and it's really irritating that Dr Atv, TB Motorpsorts, and one other advertises a 22 mm intake which I think should be thru and thru, is not. One opening is smaller than the other.

I was lucky enough to find an older 22mm intake that was 22mm on both ends.

Contact Bustin B's. He might have a line on someone that will make a TRUE 22mm intake thru and thru...or 24mm thru and thru.

You're saying your carbs sit at like 11 o clock, (so to speak) instead of straight up and down, 12 o clock?

Yep the the intake is angled and I use a porting tool to clean up the intake.
