So I bought a new to me '08 Polaris ATV recently. It runs and rides perfectly, but it turns out the tranny is leaking pretty good. I believe the drive and driven clutches need to come off before the trans can come out for re-sealing. I understand the clutches/belt assy can be tricky (and require special tools) to re-assemble, so I don't want to tackle this myself. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good yet reasonable Polaris mechanic around the IE? Got a quote from one dealer for around $500 labor only, so I'm looking for options.

ASAP motorsports in Rancho Cucamonga. 909 476-8010. ASAP is a great independent shop that works on all kinds of toys. While they aren't polaris specific, I have no doubt they will get your atv sealed up in no time. Kind of odd that the trans would be leaking. You looked really close to make sure it wasn't overfilled or something wasn't loose right?

Thanks for the reply. I will give them a call on Monday. Yeah, it is weird. I can't see anywhere else it could be coming from other than the bottom of the trans. Not the easiest quad to work on though.
