OK after the opinions served up in my BBQ Ribs thread and BBTanks announcement that he is in a cookoff this weekend...

Got me to thinking....

Maybe we could have a BBQ Fest/Cookoff this summer to crown a BBQ Champion...OK maybe a AZ competition and a CA one for bragging rights, fun and good eatin! Maybe could get the Stick man to toss in some prizes? We'd also need someone that is willing to host a group of GD.commers bringing their BBQ and cooking up some good food. I know we have the big cookoff every year at the Golf Tourney, but why not have a summer fun one too? IDK, just got the Queen's wheels spinning that is all.

Mike and Joyce have a nice built in BBQ, but it would be great if people can bring their own too!

Like Mike said he has room for plenty toy haulers, mohos, tents, whatever so lets have the 1st AZ BBQ Cookoff at RAZOR's place in North Phoenix. It will be pot luck style, so bring plenty of food!

KG and I will buy a keg if enough folks want to come, bring your swimsuits too!

Also, these guys have a great place to live as you can ride trails from their place. As long as you promise not to dust out the neighbors or be riding at night after lots of cervezas you can bring your ride, maybe we could do a Sunday morning ride!

The Stickman has said he will toss down some swag for the winners, and I am sure he will take care of the hosts with the most too! Da Slapster likes to take care of his GD.com peeps that host these parrrrtays...

If you have not been up to the RAZOR casa, you are truly missing out! The casa is beautiful, the area they live in is PERFECT for a gathering, and they are the hosts with the most!

The weezl's will be here on Friday too, Ive taken the day off so if anyone wants to make it a long weekend you are more than welcome. I think Friday we are before the Ice Cold Delicious Beverage's are broken open we are going to head over to the Ben Avery Range and run through a bunch of ammo.

If you want to bring your rig you are more than welcome as you can see there will be plenty of room

I may be able to come (depending on work), but will I be required to cook anything? My cooking skills pretty much stop at cereal but might be able to talk the wife into cooking

Cooking is optional. It'll be a fun get-together whether 2 people cook or 20 people cook. Don't forget for a cook-off "tasters" will be needed.

I'd be willing to bet if you brought cold beer you'd be let off the hook
