just wondering if anyone else that lives in the desert has scorpion problems and how to get rid of them?
i have killed 4 scorpions in the last week, 2 in the back yard patio one in the garage and one last night that ran into the house last night when i opened the front door. ive killed about 60 scorpions in the last two years. i really dont know what kind of poison to use because i have two dogs, they live inside but when i take them outside to play they like to lay down right up againt the house.
its beautiful out here in the desert but these little effers are freaking us out

Try diatomaceous earth around the perimeter of your property?

You can get Cy Kick or Demand SC on ebay also. - Those chemicals help eliminate the scorpions food scource. Scorpions have a really hard outer shell so the chemical won't kill them but it will get rid of all the crickets that they love so much.

Make sure the base of your home doesn't have plants or wood or other things stacked up next to it. Scorpions generally follow the walls and don't like to be out in the open. So if the base is open and clear they will more likely stay away. When they do enter a home they also follow walls, so pick up some insect monitors and put them along the walls of the home so the scorpions will get stuck on them.

That's alot of scorpions, so is someone building around you? Do you have river rocks or a decorative river bed? Palm Trees?

my front yard is pretty plain just decorative gravel, the back yard is all sand and rocks but the house is right across the street from a wash/walk park.
i'm almost deperate enough to go out and buy some chickens but i think me and the neighbors would get sick of all the noise they make

Good chemicals, use the high rates for the best results. There scorpions not lobsters, there built just like any other arachnid. Thats an old wives tale that companies tell there customers as they water down there final dilution rate.
