After last weeks rib thread, I figured I'd document my way. Did these Friday.
4 hours in crockpot, 15/20 minutes on BBQ. We had 3 racks but 3 is too much for 1 crockpot so we split them up.

How are you seasoning ribs while in the crockpot?
What BBQ sauce do you like to use while on the Q??

We've been using Costco "Sweet Mesquite" rub. FANTASTIC.
Beka makes up her own sauce with Ketchup, spicy mustard, Worchestire, cumin, garlic salt, pepper and a bucha brown sugar.

Could've left them in the pot for another 30 minutes to get a little more "fall of the bone" action.

These were Costco "Back Loin Ribs". Best I've found and the price is pretty good. 3 Packs are like $25-$35. Beats the hell out of any restaurant! Quality, quantity AND price.

Coob, I like sweet sauce and sweet baby rays is easy to find and tastes great to me. One of our local barbeque cheffs here uses it also. Claimed he couldn't make anything better so that's what he uses.

yep. Just rub. You get a little liquid from melting fat in the bottom. Thing you don't want is ribs simmering in fluid. They'll fall apart.

I don't know why, but I never even thought of using my crockpot that way.
So it's basically just a little slow-roasting oven, yes?
I think I'll have to try these now.

Slow cook and keeps them moist.
Crock pot is also awesome for London Broil. Throw it in with a little sauce for about 8 hours. Meast shreds apart for Philly style sandwiches.
Chicken legs too! Teryaki in for 4-6 hours. Peel the skin off first. All fat melts off and it's like giant, delicious wings

Throw a sliced up onion in for the last 30 minutes or so. Onions tenderize and marinade perfectly.

Just as I was reading this from you, I thought...............(to myself, of course)......HEY BONEHEAD, try this same thing with lamb shanks, then neck bones (for neck bones and rice), then ham hocks (for me to eat, not to share with anyone, no one I tell you). Heck yea, I can see this happening in my kitchen!!!!!

I am not a fan of ribs either, BUT if ya need some crock pot ideas

Kerin taught me this one --- start it before

, go out on river for 6-8 hours, come back and dinner is DONE!
1 roast (I prefer beef rump or any other LEAN roast)
2-4 cans of cream of mushroom w/garlic soup
1 onion
veggies that you like w/roast (carrots/taters etc)
1 Lipton onion mix
Throw everything in the crock pot (NO WATER NEEDED) and cook 6-8 hours on high. Make some minute rice -- enough for the peeps you are feeding. Take 2 large forks and shred the roast ( basically falls apart) and mix with the gravy the crock has made. Put some rice in a bowl and ladle the roast mix over. This is amazing!

Low. Always low.
Not even sure why theres a 'HIGH' setting. Burns stuff up fast

Happy early birthday. Come visit us in Tucson, and I'll make you all the ribs you can eat!!! And I'll cook'em the way you want'em. Crock pot, smoker, any way that suits you. How many racks of ribs should I buy? (they're only $3.91/lb at the commasary for baby backs, and $1.89 for spare ribs). Oh, I'm not kidding either!!
