Bought my son an EVS neck brace and BJ33 ballistic vest for his birthday. Turns out, they will not work together, neck too small on the vest. Need input on something to replace the vest with. Would like something with a little more protection than a "roost deflector" though. Looking in to the AXO air cage as that might work but anyone got any other ideas OTHER than the $200 alpine star set up?

Sorry RBJ. I wear a youth leatt with a youth EVS Revo protector, but I think that isn't quite what you want. I know they work well together for me, I don't use the extra straps for the leatt because the protector holds it very snugly in place. My boyfriend has the same set up but in the adult sizes, he does need to use the straps though because it doesn't fit so snugly.

Anyway, I know your kid has the EVS brace but I would think it would work with the EVS brand protector? dunno.gif The reason I first went for it to run with the brace was it was more cloth and had a flexible opening for the neck.

BUT the Revo isn't exactly on par with what you are posting so far either...

I wear seperate elbow pads. Being a lanky girl means having a hard time finding protective crap to fit right laughing.gif

I can't believe I still have these! This is when I first bought the Revo. I wanted to see how it fit with my leatt, so I had Tony take some pictures of me. The youth isn't as long on my torso as I would like but the adult size was like a bell it stuck it so far on me! I like that it wasn't just the 'turtle shell' type of protector (none of which fit anyway!)

The evs brace I have does work with the EVS roost protector, but I'm hoping I can find something a little better, more along the lines of the BJ33 I originally bought. Seems stupid to me they wouldn't make the 2 work together but dunno.gif . I talked to EVS and they will be coming out with what I want, but it'll be at least a year or so

I couldn't find the question tab you were talking about on that link

i wear that exact jacket it works really good except when its really hot outside. I dune/race with it always! As an adult you could wear a neck support with it but as a child im surpised it wouldnt fit.

I would think that with a child it would be better to wear the individula parts Roos Shield, Elbow pads. Due to the fact that they will be growing and crashing tearing stuff up and you can allways just perlace one item at a time
