I saw this little one's pic and OMG is he a cutie! Doug and I said we'd keep him for a few weeks and hopefully get him into a new FUREVER home!

He came to us Tuesday and he was skinny and sad, but healthy otherwise. By Thursday he was coming out of his shell! He is cute as can be, is doing really well with potty training (goes to the door and barks) and sleeps in the kennel every night! He is a puppy, so once in a while he will try to steal a shoe but tell him NO and point him to a chew toy and he is happy as a clam.

Not sure what he is as he too was dumped at a vets office. I think maybe lab or retriever and some shepard? He is long legged but I don't think he is going to be a big dog, maybe in the 35-50 pound range.

He is listed with AZ Paws and Claws rescue AZ Paws and Claws--bottom of the page! near the bottom of the webpage. Actually there are lots of great dogs and cats there if you are interested! His adoption fee is 200.00 which includes all puppy shots, neuter and well checks, and there is a 50.00 REFUNDABLE deposit to get him neutered. You put the deposit down and get it back (they don't even cash the check unless you never get him fixed) when you get him fixed w/AZ Paws and Claws.

Also Turbo just LOVES the puppies that we foster. He lays down and plays great with them, plays tug of war SO gentle and lets the little guy win sometimes. It is so cute to watch them! Once in a while he will accidentally roll over on him when the puppy is running around him and poor Turbo has the saddest face when he does it.

He is still looking and let me tell you guys that he is no shrinking violet! He is getting a little sass in him when playing w.Turbo.

He is doing awesome in the kennel at night and with potty training.

He loves tug o war and most of all snuggling! If anyone out there is looking for a SMART (he already knows how to SIT, NO, where the treats are, shake, and go to the door and "knock" to go in or out) little cute puppy, this is the one!

Duke is doing awesome! Took him for a car ride today and at 1st he was like WTF but then got the hang of going for a ride and wanted to stick his head out of the window like the big dogs except he was about 2.5 feet shy of reaching the window. He is really smart and cute as can be! Would be a PERFECT 2nd dog for anyone that has a younger dog that likes to play or a only dog for a family that has kids!

My goodness how has somebody NOT grabbed this sweetie pie up. Look how freakin cute he is, and Cortni says he's clever on top of it.

This little one is smart as a whip and doing great with kennel training! He does like in the morning after getting up @ 630 or so for potty to come and lay in bed with me if I am still sleeping. He LOVE LOVE LOVES kids and playing with other dogs. He is learning fetch and a few other tricks. My kids start their summer vacation with their dad next weekend, so I would REALLY like to see him go to a new furever home that would be able to spend more time with him than Doug and I will be able to when the kids are gone. He really is a great little guy, very cute and is just waiting for a new home...

Duke (along with other foster dogs available) will be @ the Petsmart in Goodyear Saturday! for this little moofer, I sure would like to see him go to a GD family, he is just great! We started swimming pool 101 with him just so he wouldn't freak out if he fell in. Pup is smart as hell 1st time in, I faced him the opposite direction of the stairs mid-pool, he turned himself around and swam right to the stairs! He is too little to jump out, but he can get to the stairs and stand/sit there safely.

Great news! Duke met his potential new furever family yesterday and they fell in love with him! We are taking him to their home today! I hope it all works out they have 2 kids to help keep him busy, but he is very mellow for a puppy so they really liked that.

Well that is 2 out of 2 success stories for the Royals!

We have a VERY sweet female pit in rescue that someone dumped on the street in South Phoenix, that will be having pups soon, may need to take in one as my new foster if needed. Hopefully the 6 week old puppy won't attack and kill my whole family.

Thanks Lena! People ask how I can not get attached to them, I believe that I have them and teach them how to be in a family, be with other dogs, kids, ride in a car, teach them some manners, and how to be a good little moofer that will go to the right family and be happy. Then I get to do it all over again! Plus I get my puppy fix which prevents me from adopting every puppy I come across.

I think I have his twin (although my guy is 5 now) He's Shepherd and Pit.

Oh my I LOVE the Rhino pic! What a handsome boy! funny thing is my 1st foster pup and this one looked alot alike.

..... my son's GF says he has "fortune cookie ears" ....... his ears do crack me up sometimes, he has so much personality and expression, when he is really listening to you (with head cocked to the side) you can't help but crack up at those ears.

BEST dog I have EVER had though! LOVE HIM!!!!

Here is an update on Duke! When people ask why/how can I let the puppies go before I get attached, just look at the 1st pic of him in this thread and this pic here. Our family and "pack" brought Duke from a sad little creature to a curious, well mannered puppy that has a great family now! How cute is this pic???
