I know a guy who went to a ATV dealership and bought 2 of the crates ATV's came in. $20....He welded them up and that's how he stacks his ATV's in his shed. I work at a trucking company and ive seen those crates stacked 4 high so i don't think strenght will be an issue.
Hope this helps and welcome to G.Com

I've been toying with the idea ever since I saw the post in RV Teck about staker racks for toy haulers. I haven't really sat down and drawn it out but I figure I can weld something together to stack my two quads and hold the hard top for my jeep and that would really clean up my garage...........

Why don't you stand the quads up and lean them against the walls (any).
I did that and just installed a hook on the wall studs to tie down the bumper to this hook (safety thing) in case the kids bump into the quad, you know.
Just make sure the gas tank is low enough to avoid gas spills.
By going this way, you can still park your cars in the garage.
My 2 cents.

Hey Forced Overtime
Didn't think of putting my jeep hard top on it too. That would take care of another problem at the same time.

Yup, I figure I can make the sides tall enough to hold the hard top and when the top quad needs to come down, just open the rear gate on the hard top and roll it down. Double purpose rack that would really clear up a lot of floor space in the clutter room..................... I mean, garage...........

Chuck-
Here is the setup advertised in Sand Addiction. Might give you a good platform to start from.
Good luck!
