Just put my new Lifan 125 in and wired it up.It doesn't have any spark. If I put a test light in the stator leads it lights up on the lighting leads. On the the coil and cdi nothing. This is just kicking it over without sparkplug in.Is the output that weak that it wouldn't light a test light?Or is this my no spark problem?

Check your wiring from your cdi. Do you have four or five wires coming from your motor? beer.gif

just got my 125 in from PCCmotor direct from China and oddly enough...my coil wires were colored WRONG!

Connected everything how I thought it should and it fired right up.

the minimum you need for spark is:
3 wires from stator
blue/white goes to CDI
green goes to ground
red/black goes to CDI

2 from Stator
1 ground
black/yellow fires coil

On my coil however...the GREEN wire which is ALWAYS the ground was actually the trigger wire!

I had to run that wire to the black/yellow from the CDI and used the ground terminal from the post for the green on the stator.

My case is pretty wild but I hope this helps.
