I just got back from my first encounter with a neglect abuse case first hand. They can not eat or keep anything down...Once and if we get them through this they will all need a loving home. This one in the picture could barely could get up...This starved, neglected, Parvo stricken litter of 6 were all rescued this weekend...she and the rest of her siblings are going down fast..

The rescue needs vet bill assistance. Visit this site I have linked up to help if you would like. They are legit..

Good luck with all of this Ms Cacti. I have had to hand feed and even force feed dogs that were ill, it's frustrating work, expecially puppies who need to eat often, but hang in there I'm sending you lots of good luck wishes with the litter.

I'm not one of the ones taking care of them although I helped while I was visiting. I just went to see them and am following whats going on. There are about 5 women pulling together to help them day and night. Its really amazing.. They have raised about 500 bucks but since its Parvo they are going to need a lot more meds. I have never dealt with Parvo but I am learning a lot about it and fast. In some cases I hear it best to put them down as they can get brain damage. These women are giving sub-cubtanious fluids..pills to make them not throw up...oral nutrients in concentrated form. Its crazy. And on top of all this they had 2 types of worms as well plus all 6 pups were completely flea ridden. And thru it all once in a while they would look up at us as to say thank you. I have never seen anything like this before. It makes me feel hatred towards irresponsible owners.

Praying for these pups...The one you can not see wrapped up in the arms of the women just came in while I was there. I helped pick fleas off her. The other 2 are coming home from the vet this evening. They had to get them out, the vet will not help with out more money. Its lame. The rescue will pay it eventually. Its so sad to see them suffer like this. But the women are doing a great job pulling together to get them stabilized...we shall see.

i feel your pain, you are a good person doing a wonderful thing. Let's just say I hope these pups heal and grow strong!

Now only 1 is left "hope" was rushed to ICU about 3 hours ago...

Cacti, your a good person for doing all this. It's hard, believe me I know. When you are working so damn hard to help and then the dear ones still don't make it. I wish I lived closer, I'd be over there for a real hug, and probably dropping off some baked goodies So know that I'm thinking of ya and those sweethearts. Don't give up hope and try not to burn out. You can't save every single pup but you can work hard trying, and remember if you made a difference to just one than You made a difference! and I'm not talking about just this litter, but with all the doggies you work to try and help. Making a difference to just one puppy is worth it!

Well, I heard this morning that the remaining puppy is receiving Plasma and is at a Vet specializing in Parvo. Tonight she will be moved back to the ICU for the night...Then in the morning back to the Vet. Its kinda crazy they have to jump from place to place due to different reasons. I did hear that for the first time she ate a little and she held her head up and sniffed the air in the car ride this morning.. and at the same time...


I'm praying for her.....here she is...the last remaining of the 6 parvo pups

With the way all the pit haters made a mess ALL OVER Cacti's new dog thread..... I'd prefer they'd stay out. Just sayin, if they couldn't keep their thoughts to themselves in that thread I'm sure they'd only geek up this thread too. Remember, "the only good pit is a dead pit"

HA! This is just a small fraction of the abuse 'they' suffer. I could show you things that would make your head spin. The abuse is beyond disgusting. Its common with many animal owners period. People have NOOOOO clue about the whole picture and only want to see the bad. If ya only knew...There was a pit named Popsicle..he was found in a freezer by narcotic officers in a raid. (Hence the name Popsicle ) He was starved and left to die by his owners. They saved him and trained him to be a narcotics dog. He helped put several dealers away with his work.




Not sure too many saw 'My New Dog Thread'. I have some cute pics I'd love to update with and share..but Im hesitant. Its sad I feel like I can't even post a pic of my own dog without negative input...unwanted at that.

Yeah..some people are pretty quick to hate. But that seems to be the thing de jur anymore round here. Its sad really...Used to be a nice place to talk, throw back ideas and thoughts with out being creamed. Now its a full on hate in many cases. I miss OG-G.D. But I still love my friends here I aint going no where.

Anyways...back to topic. The owners of these pups will be called out when the time is right. We have to save the last 3 adult dogs first or they will go to shelter and surely die there. The other 9 month old is thought to have parvo too. And only God knows if the female is in heat again. If so they will be born into a Parvo environment if they are not removed and here we will go again...Really all three needs to be fixed. The freaking population is already out of control. These people need to be banned from owning any animal. They also need a few other things that are being addressed. Buuuuut I'll save that for after its all settled.

You are so right about that Sharon. I sure have seen a lot of that since I been a member. What I don't understand is the attacks made by people on other people because someone said something about them & nothing is verified. They just took someone's distorted view & took up the attack for that person.

I'm going to turn the hate I feel right now into action to hold the irresponsible owners accountable.

Props to you sharon for what you have done. My heart aches for animals that have been
mistreated. If I won the lottery ( wishful thinking) I'd buy up hundreds of thousands of acres and
open it to every single neglected animal that needed a home.

Our bunny was left behind in a house with no water or food. We got her from a non profit Rabbit Rescue.
She may have chew up just about every cord in the house.. but we love her
