Tucson AZ: In 2009 the Pima Animal Care Center saved almost 9,000 animals. This year we have vastly exceeded that number and to date have saved 9,648. Our goal is to save at least 10,000.
Effective Monday June 21, 2010 we are launching a $10 for 10,000 campaign and are offering every adoptable animal in our shelter for a discounted adoption fee of $10! This offer applies to our “special needs animals” and regular adoption animals, which all need loving homes. “Special needs animals” may require some additional vet care or need a little extra time and training for minor behavioral issues; every case is unique.
Right now we have an influx of dogs and cats and with July 4th and Monsoon season right around the corner we will continue this offer until our annual adoption event Monsoon Muttness which takes place on July 9, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm. There will be additional discounts that evening.
We have so many wonderful animals here for adoption that we invite you to come and take a look.
We have purebreds, mix breeds, puppies and kittens. We also have several long term residents and animals in their golden years waiting to spend their remaining years with a loving family.
Help spread the word of our campaign and our success on to friends and family. Here at the Pima Animal Care Center we are committed to finding homes for our adoptable and special needs animals. With help from the public and our rescue partners we can achieve our goal. We look forward to your visit. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. We are closed holidays.

I was mostly impressed that last year they only placed ~9,000 animals and they are already approaching the 10,000 mark for this year - it's aint even half way over yet
