So I see the Bounder motorhomes all the time for a lot less than other makes? What's the deal? Are they junk?

I have always heard they are a good value for the money. Several friends have owned them and always spoke highly about them. Unsure why they are so cheap.

I think they are the lower Fleetwood line.

they are the best "bang for your buck" they are middle of the fleetwood line-up, terra's and flairs below them. i own a 34g 35' 2008 and we love it. they have slides, porcelain toilets and sinks, mine has 2 slides, some have 3. we upgraded 2 1/2 yrs ago from a 29' winnebago, man 5-6 feet make a huge difference. i have 2 couches and a dinette, and the front room is massive. the v-10 does well too, after a banks air intake, magnaflow muffler and diablo sport chip. i pull a 22' cargo trailer with a rail and 2 quads, goes as fast as it needs to go. full body paint, mine is black with gold and champagne highlights, looks sweet!

I had a 1994 34' Bounder and I never had any issue's with it. I thought it was a pretty decent quality MH. The engine packages are pretty much the same between builders. I was pretty happy with mine..

I worked at Beaudry RV for about 5-6 years after I retired from the Air Force. The Bounder is a very good motorhome. I worked on a lot of bounders, but they outsold the others by far, bang for the buck thingy again. There is no real "common" issue with any of them that I know of. I still have friends in the RV business, so I'm still connected. My RVIA certification may have ran out, but I still keep a "hand in the fire", so to speak. And I own a Fleetwood 39' GearBox, if that makes a difference.

May also have to do with the high number of Bounders out there. I looked at an industry sales report from 2002 and the Bounder was BY FAR the best selling model out of EVERY motorhome made that year.

There price point was the main reason. Good unit. they just didn't use all the expensive counter tops, flooring, etc which saved money to the end user. I think in 07 you could buy a 40ft pusher with 4 slides for 110k. great unit for the price brand new.

The are a good value when compared to upper model gassers. Fleetwood has the Southwind and Pace Arrow that from what i could find only had corian counters and wood flooring and some cheesy suround sound over the bounder that has formica counters and linoleum flooring.
The bounder has 22.5 alcoa wheels, full body paint, one piece windshield, porcelain toilets, ultra leather furniture, LCD tv's, power remote awning with wind sensors, back up and side view camera, inverter, 2 AC's, 5K onan, double door fridge with ice maker.
I researched the HELL out of them before we purchased. We have the 35 H floorplan on the workhorse chassis it has a LOT of storage inside and out. Huge slide up front and another in the back bedroom. I liked the floorplan more than any gas moho's and i have been in ALL of them. For me i could fine no reason to spend anymore on a gasser.
Even on a deal it was still 35K less than fleetwoods cheapest Diesel Pusher.
