Hand make a patty from ground beef (no turkey or chicken or anything other than good old fat burger)
topped it with sharp cheddar cheese, wrap it in a bacon weave, then add hotdogs as the heads, legs and tail.
Place on an oven rack, covered loosely with foil and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees. A little crispy, not too crunchy...just how a turtle should be, no?
OK, OK, too many know me by now, and I think it should be done on a grill with indirect heat. Maybe even smoked low and slow too.
