I always have friends in camp asking about my Honda EU2000i genny I use for my toy hauler most of the time to save hours on my Onan. When people hear the price of the thing they shy away... well here's an alternative from Honeywell that from what I have read is very close to the Honda and the Costco near me has them for less than half of the Honda. Might be worth looking into for someone. Best of all you have the Costco return policy.

Don't do it, friend of mine went that route... ended up buying the Honda afterwards. Got tired of borrowing mine I guess

Spend the money now and you will be glad you did. A warranty does nothing for you at the dunes when your gen takes a crap

I hear ya.. love my little Honda but I did a bunch of review reading on this for my mom who lives in Oklahoma and is always in power outages and it seems to get good marks.

Exactly my point. I think I have about 1500-1800 hours on my Honda now that it has save me... I get to camp and fire it up and it runs straight for 2-3 days at a time with fill ups. Even if you use this only for movie watching if you don't have an inverter its a sweet deal.... put it 20ft out from your rig.

I have the Honda and it is GREAT when you have kids and they need power for there toys/gameboys and what not or watching tv. Because this is a extra geni I would not shy away from trying it for the price and costco return policy.
Great find!! I am passing this on to my other friends.

Try Wise sales in Illinois. Free shipping and no sale tax. I bought a Honda 3000 for $1650.00. They have some great prices and probably pretty close to what the Honeywell generator is going for. They don't post prices online but worth the call.

The Honda is the only way to go, I have a EU2000i, and I know it will always start and work like a charm. They are very reliable.

Honda all the way. Much more efficient. I fill the tank at 9pm and it will finally die out at 6:00am. I run an electric heater and lighted flag pole on it and never need to use propane. Warm heat all night. Have yet to see any other similar gen run half that time Quiter and low maint, in the long run it will cost you more.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyB3w_tJxYYAt less than half the cost, most would probably be ok with it not running their chop saw. They would probably start up the house genny for loads like that, A/C, microwave, welder, etc..

I just did a camp trip and my friend had the yellow CPE generator (same as the red) and I was impressed with it. He got it at Sams Club for $450 and it was very quiet. Powered all his lights, charged the batteries on his coach, and provided power to a pair of Mackie Thump TH15-A powered speakers for camp music. Like he told me... for $450 and a Sams Club return policy he couldn't go wrong. I love my Honda, but if I ran across the CPE at Costco or Sams I would probably grab one for a rainy day to have on hand for when the Honda finally dies.
