So I picked up a real nice Rhino last week and had it dynoed at Trinity yesterday because its headed to the river and I dont want any problems.
(New to the Rhino world--thanks)
Here is a list of things it has (660 carburated)
JE piston 10:1
ported head
Web stage 2 cam
41mm carb
Pro circuit dual exh
Blackrhino CDI
AFE air intake
Trinity clutch sheave
It does 55mph on the street with a full glass windshield and 25" tires
PS- My RZR-s would smoke it

48rwhp is great for a 660 Rhino, A strong 686 is about 50rwhp. Stock out the box they turn around 25-28rwhp.
I got this info from DASA and John @ Proshop.

that sounds about right...rmember though...comparing a rhino WITHOUT a motor swap and tranny/differential work to a rzr-s is apples to oranges....
I bet a rhino with a rotax 800cc swap would hang with your S

Depends on how you go about it really. There is a pretty solid kit out from rotax you rhino that makes install pretty easy. The biggest cost is finding a good donor without having to buy a brand new renegade or outlander quad.
There is a ton of info on this swap over at Rhinoforums.net (although its not as good of a site as GD.Com!)

That's a lot of power for a stock bore/stroke but not entirely unreasonable, especially with head work.
The question is, how does the Trinity dyno compared to others?
A RZR-S should "beat" a Rhino with that power, but not totally smoke it.
I've ridden in some of John's builds (Pro Shop), and his 686 puts out mid-40's HP and will definitely run with a RZR-S, won't beat it but won't get "smoked" by it.

With the motors you build and your shop reputation, there is no way you can leave that alone. This thing needs a Busa transplant.
