Anyone got any useful info ? I have seen two different rails on here for sale both with C-series engines. I have three c-series engines and am looking for any info on pros/cons of using one in my build... Thanks in advance

ok but you asked.. they are ok for normally asperated running DO NOT turbo them..head gasket issues and rod bearing problems .most people use the v-tech version but if you have one ..maybe use it.................sorry to be the bearer of bad news...........you can contact Chris westwood in sandiego he did some work on these in the past..but i think he went to the v-tech motor as well

I knew that the Jseries were better but since I have three engines now I will work with what I have. I have been building C-series engines in Acuras for about 4years so I am more than comfortable with the HG issues/etc these engines have as I have already built my motor.. Thanks for the input

The thing is, J series (j35a1,3,4) motors are about 400-900.00 depending on where you buy them.
Going to be a HUGE advantage if you start with one.
You get more HP and TQ to start with and adding a turbo is cake.
Add the fact you can get aftermarket rods, valves, intakes, pistons, sleeves, and a few others and you have a V8 killer.
Good luck!

Thanks. I will probably get a J-Series to build based on aftermarket support for the engines and the vast amount of info available.
