This is some of my work, steel frame with wood inlayed. The wood is regular fence wood, sanded smooth and stained.

Can you build something like this? If so, how much?

No. I have an area on the side of my house that I want to make into a dog run. I need a 5'h x 4'w gate and a small panel 5'h x 3'w built and installed. The post on the latch side of the gate will be mounted to the exterior wall of the house.

is it a stucco house? Where on the house will the post be? near a corner? 3' back? The reason I ask is it is about impossible to bolt to stucco unless you find a stud. If you are near the corner you can use a lag that will for 3"-4" in and catch the stud.. Just an FYI..
nice work loco..

Here are some pics of the back, and how it they look from the sides. This gate was made for my house, I painted it gloss black and stained the wood a dark walnut.

If you made one 12 ft. wide, would you need a couple of diagonal braces on the back? I need one with an opener.
Have a four and five inch steel column at 6 ft. tall already imbedded in driveway.
