My work and RAZOR have already stepped up with donations! Anyone else that is interested please let me know! cdixon@e2cc.com

Lucky Paws Shelter rescues dogs and cats from the euthanasia list and finds forever homes. We depend heavily on volunteers to walk dogs, clean kennels, take care of cats and help up with basic supplies.

We have had NO volunteers this week at all. This means that the dogs are getting minimum exercise and the staff is overburdened.

Folks, we cannot do this alone. We want to save as many animals as we can, but we need your help. I know that it is summer. I know that some of you are away. I know that it is hot, but the shelters are more crowded than ever and we are trying to save LIVES!!! The county shelter employees are BEGGING us to take animals, but without help cannot.

Please come by the shelter and help us out. Walk dogs in the early morning or evening. Help clean kennels or cat rooms. Bring us paper towels, bleach, detergent, floor cleaner.

This must be a group effort or we will fail. The animals need us desperately. We are often their only hope.

Please, just come by the shelter and help us with animals. Directions at www.luckypawsshelter.org. Call Kelly at 602-955-1414 for questions.

If you volunteer or donate please let them know you saw this on GlamisDunes.com! I will be calling them tomorrow to let them know that I posted this. Also I believe that all donations are tax deductible etc.

I wish I were closer. Tony and I volunteer here in Yuma.

We walk dogs on Saturday - I love it, especially when I hear the succesful adoption stories of dogs I visited with. Then we clean and play with the cats. Well I clean, and Tony plays with whatever kitty whose 'condo' I'm scrubbing laughing.gif

It's really rewarding work. The animals are so happy to get some one on one time with somebody and you can't help but smile at their antics.
