Looks like a mini buggy but what would you classify it as? They look pretty sweet and should be seeing mine in two weeks. I'm excited to say the least! Don't see a lot of people who own these on the board.

I still do not have it yet.
I should have it in two weeks or so. I picked up a brand new 2007 for a steel of a deal! Its coming in a crate from the factory. I also have a set of Hiper Carbon Fiber wheels already for it with maxis bighorn tires. I will post some pictures when I get it. Surprised that there are not more people that have these. They are american made, Which I really like, with a german webber 74 hp engine. A turbo would make 130 hp reliable. I'm sure some small stuff is from aisa but the frame and all parts are made here. Plus 17" travel.
I'm looking to get rid of the air shocks for some coilovers.
Just looking for some feed back.

I can give you my opinion with backup.

UTVWeekly (name speaks for itself) clasifies it as a UTV.
SXS Action Magazine (no longer in business, but.........) had it in their SXS Shootout
King of the Hammers UTV Race had a Redline Riot run the race and they clasified it as a UTV
That's all I got for you

Based upon these off-road websites/magazines/media/race outlets, I too would clasify it as a UTV

Well I know everyone has seen these but to put a face with a name.

I know the power is a step down but I'm not a drag racer. I like to drive and I feel I will get more seat time in this than with my TPD that requires constant attention. I'm also looking to turn down the boost on my TPD car. I'm thinking about a tit reduction, LOL. If all wanted to do was drag race then I wouldn't mind working on it to do that. I'm not a fan of the straight line racing.

I owned both the revolt/riot. There are certain likes and dislikes. The revolt is great in the dunes with rear paddles and sails over the whoops,Jumps and lands very well. My dislikes are fuel consumption, crawling into the cab,Lack of storage, and the motor being right in back of the head (loud). The webber motor is really the reason I had to own one as that is a blast. The revolt only weighs 700lbs and specfic to the dunes was extremely nimble and fun.

I was looking at them once. I am 6'2" and could not fit inside. The gas tank is in between the feet and hard to climb in and out of,etc. They really look like a lot of fun but I'm too fat. LOL
Have a great time and post up some photos once you get it.

Yeah a helmet helped. Had the Ipod cranking. You should do the bighorns as the stockers suck, Also some sort of rearview mirror (its a pain trying to see behind with the radiator).

The two seater (Riot, I think) did the KOH UTV race and he did great. He broke an axle in the middle of the desert and didnt finish the race, but he did fine considering it is a 2WD. Here is the story of his race.

I would have asked him to do it again!
As for the shocks, I'm going to switch to coil overs fairly soon. I may attempt to try and dial them in but, IMO, air shock belong on light rock crawlers.
Oh I almost forgot, I could get two more for $8,400.00 plus freight which is $750.00 on top of the $8,400.00. These are brand new in crate 2007 redline revolts.they also come with a six month warranty on the car but the f-n-r box is excluded from that warranty. I guess since then they have traded the old f-n-box for a different one that they use in the riot and revolt xl. Let ,e know if your interested.

Maybe, I would have done a lot of things different if I was to do it all over again.
I should have the car by the end of the week. I guess there are some mods that need to be done right out of the gate. I guess mine will have the old transmission. They say they will pump themselves out of lube, the new ones have a different transmission so this is not an issue. So you need to put a breather line going up with a bellows style breather. I already picked up some bighorns some Hiper carbon wheels with billet center, I was told the stock wheels are really soft.

Well I took the Revolt out on some dirt roads. This thing is a blast. My buddy liked it so much he bought one as soon as he got home. I put some Hiper Racing Carbon Fiber wheels on it. The wheels and tires made a huge difference in the way it turns. I can see my TPD car sitting after getting this thing. The suspension is really plush and the air shock will stay for a while if not indefinately. If you have ever seen Nitro Circus, they had an episode "Redline Vs. Nitro Circus". They beat these things pretty bad and they did not break either the Revolt or the Riot. They said that it's rare that there is no winner in Nitro Circus. They claimed it to be a tie. I like that this car a lot! If anyone was interested in one of these call Red Rock Powersports in Utah . They have one more 2007 for that price. I would get an XL Revolt if you are taller than 5'10". it feels very snug sitting inside this thing. My elbow never hits the side. Power sliding is pretty fun on dirt roads. It's like a modern day Honda Pilot. It's made in the USA to boot!
Here is some pictures of it.

Congrats on the new toy! I wouldn't worry about what it is classified as, just enjoy it.
But since you asked... I think the two-seaters are much more like UTVs, the single seaters are more like mini-buggies.
However my "real" definition of a UTV would have to be a 4x4, even though some in the media disagree.

Well I took the Revolt out. It is super fun! It jumps really nice and feels real neutral in the air. The power was great but not crazy. It did real well for not using paddles. Itcould use some tuning in the suspension really just the front end. Anyone interested in a Tom Pro Design car? It will be up for sale soon. The wife wants a Revolt also.

Well the controls were fine. It does need some heel stops, which are in the mail. It feels snug sitting inside it, but never hit my elbow on the side bar. I would say that this would be cramped with some one over 5'10" in it but I think they knew that so they made the XL model which is longer. I have heard the pilots turm much better than the Revolt but the pilot has much more limited travel. pilot=5" in the rear and the revolt=17". For a stock machine, it's set up fine. Is there room for improvement? Yes.
As for the turning, it does well. I think the air shocks make under steer a lot, but all in all it went where I wanted it go. If it had coilovers I think it would cure a lot of the short comings of the airshocks.
