Full Version: I Turned Nash Fx Loose On My Car

What started as an ATC 70 build quickly turned into a photo-shop request so I can have matching bike and car. I have no idea if this goes in sandrail or back in the original 70's thread; but I thought I would share.

This was DBarts last go at it.

Took the panels to Nash FX and told him use as a guide only. He was free to do as he pleased. Very easy guy to work with and a nice guy too. Phoenix folks would not be disapointed by going to him.

Picked them up today and just got them back on the car so I can go on Saturday night run with the moon.

Snapped a few pictures then put it up - hard to see the detail at night. And it shows up a bit more burgundy rather than the purple it is. Will get some more pictures tomorrow on the night ride. I am pleased with it.

I swear, that is going to be a FUN car!

I love it. U get the paint job you want without the painter doing it his way! High five to dbart and you.

How much was the paint job? I have been wanting to something like that. Do you have a phone # for Nash?
dbart

My old panels were dinged up - so I ended up with new side panels and he also made a skid plate for me. He then poweder coated the panels and did his custom paint. I wont kiss and tell on the price - but I think it was way fair. If you can understand the time it takes to do stuff like this then you will think his prices are way fair as well. He will be doing some other stuff for me as well - ie atc 70 etc. Send him some pics via email and he can get a ball park for you.

Poop - out there but no "tearin it up" - fans were not kicking on. Trip was a success to the extent I wanted to learn about the car, etc. All good. The little time i did have - good as always. So, good to learn I need to chase a fan demon. Better to have it fail on a day trip than weekend trip.

I like purple. It is a rich vibrant color would be my guess for his draw to it. He and his wife are super cool people.

Listens well and provides just enough input to make it better - not his.

Is he still at his shop out in AJ? He did the paint on my car. Awesome work.

Not sure about the helicopter storage area, I know he was close to Joe Fab.

Hey, I like the upgrades! Are you going to do the dash?

I am around this weekend if you need help with the fans. I need to get you the ECU software too, it helps to trouble shoot ECU triggered items like Fans and Fuel pump.

Car looks great yummi. I can't wait for the season to start. Let me know if you need any help with your fan issue.

Thanks,

Might take you up on the fans. I think i got the software from you, but me plugging anything more than an iPod into the intercom would be more than I care to screw up.

The three dash side panels were powdered in the silver. The center panel is just painted for the time being. Would like to figure out oil pressure gauge maybe tach - you know - time and money. Also planing on a full hood and enclose the front - so will have Nash custom do the main dash panel to tie into the hood, etc. For now the paint works.

Jess was kind enough to send a care package - so I "re-labeled" the car for him.

Had to get new lights to clear the garage door. Can you use the old ones? Offset some of that Vegas deal for the new build?

Thanks - I am hoping I just knocked something lose - when I find it I will be disappointed I did not find it at the night ride. On the bright side; I know the temp warning lights that I wired up work. lmao.gif

Thanks.

The big dorky one was my buddy Randal - the guy he called over and said - "Jeffrey do you have...?" which is my full and correct camp name - that was me.

Glad we could help you out with the fuel. Hope it got you guys through the night.
