I'm still lost-you said you have done it many times in a buggy,and class 1 car( what kind of class one and buggy). Where did you do it at? I have a hard time with the no pictures thing. The BLM will be lookin out for this type of thing- but they have better things to do. You must have a spotter and make sure everyone knows what you are going to do(so no one will get hurt), when we did it in the buggy, we had spotters,divers, tow ropes and hooks ready,helicopter and EMT's, we went over the plan if I was to come up short- it all came together and went perfect. When I had the No-Fear truggy and jump it at Pattons a lot of people got upset and said it was to dangerous-what they didn't know was I had a spotter- and now I only jump things when the whole area knows what I'm doing. I still would like to see pictures- there have been many people that say they have done it but none have any proof. Anyone that races understands that things can go wrong-I don't think calling out people to do something like this is good-you put them in a situation where they feel pressured and could do something that would have long lasting results. I also would say its not good for busn.-AG sandcars did not sell anymore cars or did Weitzel sell anymore trucks because of the canal. I did it as a personal challenge and not for someone else. If your goin to do it- I know where you can practice at, then you will be ready for it-good luck and close the re bound off on the rear tubes.

jsp , how did you determine how much speed would be needed ? did you calculate it or seat of the pants feel ? how fast are you going in the buggy at lift off ? what is the distance at the point you jumped it ? tim

If that isn't proof I don't know what is. I could never imagine if I ever Jumped that that I wouldn't have someone with a video or at least a camera!!!

You have a short run up because of the old canal, the speed was a seat of your pants-just like jumping on a dirt bike. We through a rope across the canal and then we measured it to where I landed (138ft) in the buggy- the truck 1st jump was short-landed on the road, the 2nd time we added more air pres. to the tires and changed the rear rebound, also had more speed on the old canal road- made it over the road by 20ft. If you jump it in the right place- the landing has a long run off. The famous Robby Gordon won't do it- drove over and looked at it ---drove away. G.O.W. we are racing @ Glen Helen on the 8-9 come by and see us- we have the ugly white Pro-2 # 95- the pits are open to everyone that buys a ticket, so come by and we will talk, race day is a little crazy, so just come in and introduce your self.

anyone can do it in there fancy smanshy offroad cars and trucks,try putting a trick in there with something a little more challenging. pulled this one off just after mowing the edges of the canal (it was getting a bit tall).

If that buggy got tagged I would like to see what the chassis looks like after the other guys roost clears! LMFAO!!!! I hate when that happens to me! It takes me about 3-4 hours to make a new front bumper! If u notice my truck everything is cm except the bumpers I do those out of mild so it soaks up the impack and dosn't transfer into my chassis! I been threw alot of bumpers front and rear. I can take it and give it and don't cry about it! can u?????????????
