I have a persistent oil puddle under the moho coming from the hydraulic pump for the front 2 slides on a 2008 Monaco DP. I pulled the pump and cleaned it up, sat it overnight on a nice clean sheet of paper and found the leak the next morning. I call Lippert Industries in Indianna and they say no servicible parts, new pump 1,200.00. I am only out of warranty by 4 months, tough S**t. I say who builds the pump, they can not find that info. %#@!!! What do I have to lose?? I pull it apart and find a $5 seal that is the culprit, only place that could produce the leak where it is comong from ( I think). This seal is under pressure so a normal oil seal no go, has to be hydrulic. I found a web site called Herculesus.com and think I may have found the seal after puting some calipers on this one. Anybody have any experience with a seal like this? Where should I look for one??
Thanks

Send an email and the pics to these guys.

They can hook ya up either with the parts or ship it to them for a rebuild.

I was hoping some one knew what this seal is called or maybe know where to order it. I will send the pics to the guys in SD and see if they can match a seal to it just knowing the specs. Thanks

I've seen something like that on jets. Try a aviation mechanic at your local airport.

it looks like a hyd. motor seal you can try a local hyd. pump shop they may be able to match it to a seal kit they stock.

hope this helps...

hyd motor seals take a lot more presure.

look for the #'s on the front of the seal

tucson is pretty big. should be able to find a hydraulic repair house
farmdog
most seals in that application are only wipers so if its not metric it should be pretty common,
Frog Island
Find a larger bearing and seal company and take the seal and the pump in and have them match it up.

I could do that in half dozen places....And I'm in Portland.

looks like a an O ring to me maybe a Quad ring so if it is any cat dealer or hyd hose supply store should have it.and make sure to use some grease when you go back together

I took it to Bearing Belt and Chain and Howards Hydraulics yesterday. First place said it is metric and they could not match it because the pump is an import but he would sell me a USA made pump for 700. Second place says it is a pressure seal and sent to me a third place, Tucson Fluid Power who referred me to a website to find the seal. I think it is not worth their time to locate a $5 part. The website has a million seals so I am trying to figure out what this type is called so I can narrow down the search. Thanks for your help.

Try McMasterCarr.com, they might have the size your looking for.
