I have a buddy who is down in San Clemente with a Motorhome dry camping. He only has power when he has the generator running. He has tried to run the engine and the genny but nothing will work. As soon as he turns off the genny everything is dead. I have have bad batteries in the past and at least they would be dim for a few before they shut off. He has checked all fuses and GFI's
Any ideas ????
Thanks

Check for a fuse between the Batteries and the Converter.. Had the same problem on my WW after the fuel station pump siezed and blew out the main fuse!

Mine also has a 12v disconnect switch that could be turned off.

12V disconnect switch, or there is a circuit breaker after the disconnect switch, but before the converter.

I don't think his lights would come on at all with the 12V disconnect off. Pretty sure it doesn't allow any 12V to turn on but I could be wrong.

Badgas, there is a transfer switch inside the converter, if it's stuck, it could cause problems. Not saying that's the problem. My Gearbox will allow the gen to start, the front jacks to work even with the 12V disconnect off. Somebody else said it best, too many possiblilties without being onsite.
