i just sat down and turned on the tube and on CBS there is a story about ATV. the report bashes people in charge of selling ATV to kids under 16. They do a hidden camera on a person interested in a quad for this persons son/daughter. They ask if this quad "250" is ok for their son who is younger then 16. The man says that it is not recommended for children under 16. but then he goes off the property and tells the person that there child can easily handle a 250. i have mixed feeling on this. i hate how they never give the full story. anyways just thought i would send out the info.

That subject is all over, but it only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone. They did a story on channel two news up here in Portland Oregon on people ruining our forest.Well the story goes like this they honed in on the people riding outside of the trail system, the person that they cought on tv didn't have their atv tag so he got two tickets. I think that the fine should be stiffer then the people cought will think twice about being that bad apple. I was At coos bay riding the dunes and this person finishes his beer and threw his beer bottle in the sand I said to him don't you want this area to be open for future use? he said yes. I said you keep throwing you trash out like that and the serria club will have this area too for no one to enjoy. We need to start policeing up our own then we can become as powerful as the serria club and take back the land that was once open for us to enjoy just a thought

Ya they did a thing about that in people magazine and our buddies were in some of the pictures. Dont know how they got there but they were the "irresponsibles" who let their kids ride atv's. laughing.gif
SHOCKER
Ill find a link to this same topic at z400central.com, but this guy posted a article that was in his local newspaper(on the east coast) and the article was calling us people who ride quads rednacks

My 13 year old son rode a 250 ex for several years, It was too small for him.
He now rides a built YFZ 450,, fits perfectly.

I realize people sometimes get hurt on Quads, I don't deny that.

Nobody dunes more than us, no one.
In in our years of duning, I've never seen anyone hurt,, never seen an accident.

In compparrison:

Stick your hands in your pockets and fall over,, you'll get hurt,, it's that easy.
