I remember talking to Hazmaster about this not too long ago. He knows his shiznit bout these things. But once again all I can do is refer you to a FL250 site (different from Mikes Pilot page)

hey mr red thanks, but all i seem to find there right now is a few clowns (and some smart folks)but not all the imfo im looking for. but im hard headed and will keep trying [Big Grin]
Haz said he looked and didn't find anything for the FL250. I knew I saw something not too long ago about reeds and Odysseys. Then it hit me... FL 350!!!. Sure enough. THIS PAGE mentions the following...

I would reccomend the FMF Ram valve over the bopysen redds because if you decide to modify your odyssey a bit more the Ram valve will work much better than the Boysens, but if your on a budget go with the Boysens becasue they cost $35 and the Ram valve Cost $85 bucks!

Also notice after he lists all these mods to the carb he sugests geting a totaly different carb all together. I dunno. [Roll Eyes] [Roll Eyes] [Roll Eyes]

Also remember the reeds refered to are for the 350. [Roll Eyes] [Roll Eyes]

When we first brought home my Oh Dessie it was in seriously bad shape. After three trips out and three trips with me being towed back to camp and whining the rest of the weekend, I was ready to trash the whole idea.

But The Mechanic Of The House (aka husband Bryan), convinced me they take a LOT of fussing with the jetting and carb and who knows what at first and then they're worth it and I have to say HE WAS RIGHT. It runs like a champ and they're the most fun when you're jumping [Big Grin]

Lots of good information at http://www.off-road.com/atv/pilot/

Ok NE1, after a little bit of research, I have found that NONE of the Ody 250's came with reeds. If you have reeds, then someone has modified the intake. Did you have a general reed question, or were you lookin for ways to upgrade? Funny side note, the heads from an Ody 250 bolt right up to an Elsinore 250 and make it FLY!. Wish I had better news for ya. Haz

no i bought a fl250 that has been built and converted to a reed but with that intake on that 250 and that big carb the carb rubs on the driven clutch. so i hoped that somone else has made this combo work. all parts are accesible i cant be the only one. i guess i will have to move engine and try to find a bigger belt. alot to do by halloween
