Okay, need rings and pistons, and the cylinders bored.
Who makes the best kit?
Where is the best place to go in SD?
Who bores cylinders?

Let me rephrase that,
I'm doing the work myself, need piston kit.
Wiseco, ??? Where should I order parts?
Where can I have cylinders bored?

I would go with Pro-X pistons. For the boring, I would go to Fox Engine Works in Alpine. It is'nt the cheapest, but he does great work. The # is (619)445-1415, and ask for Allen. What kind of boring are you gonna do?

Crash, I just got my wiseco pro-lite pistons from E-Bay for $100. It incluses everything you need except wrist pin bearings. I have even seen them go for $70. You can expect to pay $190 at a local shop for the same kit.

Allen Fox does really good work. Samcoe is Santee right across from Duncan does excellent work and is pretty reasonable!

Welcome to the board Chris, already took the cylinders to Allen Fox. I'm doing all the work myself, all he's doing is the boring.

I had a wiseco piston in my quad once. I won't ever use them again. Dam thing came apart. Now I use Pro-X and they are great.

Yeah Tom, after talking with several people, I went with the Pro-X. It's not my quad, but don't want to have to do it again.
