I'm trying to find a lighted whip (fiberglass, internal wire) with a quick disconnect. Can any one help?

I use a buggy whip for my quad with an LED light. Works great.

Ask Chummin where he got his sounds like what your looking for. Its a sweet lookin whip only trouble is everybody wants to follow the cool whip ( use in desert not on dessert) and if theres one person you don't want to follow its Chummin ( unless its me [Disturbed] [Big Grin] )

Anyway its a pretty sweet whip......for a cow molester [Eek!]

Had an idea after I bought a set of the tireflys for my quad.... Most wips are close to the size of a valve stem. With a little epoxy and an extra tirefly you can screw it to the end of your whip and your done. The tops of the tireflys are interchangable and run off of watch batteries. No wires and simple and when your whip brakes you can twist it off and put on a new whip.

All buggy shops sale them. You can also get one at the glamis store or vendor flats on big weekends.

Tire flys would be cool but they're activated by the spinning of the wheel, centrifugal force. Might be a way of rigging them so that they're always on but I'm not sure what would be involved in doing so. Cheapest way would be just using an LED and wiring it to a battery pack or off the taillight. [Razz]

some of those tire flys turn on by screwing them on the stem all the way, so get some that do that and your set, you can turn em on and off wehn needed.

All the tireflys I have turn on by movement. All they have to do is be bumped. If I drop my keys on my desk 3 feet away they go off. Doesnt take much. Try it! It will work!

You may consider light'em up at:
sales@versatecmfg.com

Saw them at the SSSS seemed good.
They offered a connector that seems to be improved over most others.
Also Clifford mfg has a good line of them.

I got my whip from
http://www.albaaction.com/

Its not a quick disconnect, but they have one there as well.

As Tres said.. its cool, but I had people trying to follow me and that is very bad! I jumped off my bike and started yelling that them not to follow me.. Was a way funny situation. All these lost people and they "follow the light". HAHA..

We were lost also, so it was a true case of the blind leading the blind!!! [Big Grin] [Beer] [Beer] Only Tres could get us that lost though!!! [Disturbed]
