Hey guys,
I have this Billet gas cap on my '04 Banshee. Cost somewhere like 60 bucks, but it doesn't have the breather thing in the cap so gas wont come out and air can come in. Follow me? So I was wondering if there is anything u guys can recommend or any quick-fix's I can do so gas wont mist me in the face out of the hose. LOL
Thanks......~Ryan

Are you talking about the hose? If so, you can buy them at any bike shop or even make your own out of hose laying around.

No, not the hose. I have a a white freeflow hose on it. That's not the problem.
When I ride around and the gas is sloshing in the tank, I dont have the regulator that is in the gas cap to stop the gas from coming out the hose. Because of this, gas hits me in the legs, or face when i jump it. lol. Kinda stings the eyes.
Maybe theye sell a hose that can act as this device???

if you still have the stock cap try and see if you can modify the cap by taking parts from the old gas cap and use themon the billet one. i got a baja tank and it came with a P.O.S. aftermarket plastic one and i used my stock one instead.
try something like that. or try finding an o-ring that will fit you gas cap.

Put a fule filter on the end of it that way you will still get air but fuel wont poor out

I think I know what you mean now, in the center of the billet cap there is a little hole, you have a hose attatched to that, but when jumping, etc, the gas goes out the little hole, through the hose and sprays out?
If that is correct you have the same situation I have, probably the same cap, there is a little inline check valve that you can put on the hose so that it is a one way hose, the inline thing came with the cap when I got it, but they do sell them seperately, I am sure you could get one pretty much anywhere that sells dirt bike/quad stuff. hope this helps,
If I am on the right track, let me know and I will take a pic of what I have and post it here

I got mine from Alba, and have not had a problem with it once, never leaked, tight fit, better than stock.

this is a close up of the in line check valve, lets air go through but not gas, its hard to see, but about 3/8" goes into the hose at both ends, and only about 1/8" of the actual valve thing is visible

I know they make billet ones, but since you cant really see them, I think black looks fine, and it goes with whatever color hose yours is.

Thanks man, I will have to check those out here shortly.
My bike is puking anti-freeze and I don't really know why. This is the first time I have had it out since all the motorwork had been done. Well, 2nd time.
But it is puking the anti-freeze mainly when it under load. I don't ride far and I am not heating it up. I just don't know why.
Head gasket maybe>?

My friend has a crf450 and last trip to buttercup it got hot and antifreeze shot out the overflow hose, after that it was fine, except towards the end of the day he couldnt kick it, well he couldnt start it so i pulled him around on my Z and he finally started it when i was pulling him

Thats weird. Maybe that was from over-filling it. But mine will run itself dry and its pissing me off. It never has ran dry but it keeps puking it out. When the bike is shut off, u know how u can hear the anti-freeze bubblin'. Or boilin? (whenever you run hot?) It doesnt do that. Just pukes when it is under load.
