Regular ball bearing grease is a very fine film lubricant best for tight clearances in ball bearing - just like it says in its name. Cat desert gold and Swepco are a moly grease - best for metal to metal contact surfaces like cv's. Moly grease is also very tacky and resists 'flying off' of wheres its applied.
