What did you to to prepare it for racing?
What race are you entering?

Number plates, numbers, jet kit, nerfs, and tether.
Going to join MMA (manitoba motocross ass.) and race the rest of the season. Was invited to practice a couple weeks ago with Shannon Friesson #43 at the local track in Beausejour MB. Riding on a track as opposed to the pits and trails and stuff was a heck of a lot of fun. So i decided to join and race the rest of the season. If i like i'll do a full season next year.

You might want to look at tires as your next upgrade. The yamaha stockers really suck! Great for play riding but if your racing, you'll want traction and the stockers don't give it. Down here, holeshots or razrs seem to work well.

yea...you'll need some tamers and radials for mx
or mxr's or something....but the old school setup works the best for me

Ya 10- Fireball....i've been asking around and watching guys ride with those 2 particular sets of tires on their quads. The Yami stockers aren't too bad but when i get into the corners I get right side-ways and have to snap the clutch a few times to point her in the right direction...For only riding for a month on a quad, that gets a little scarry

From my understanding....the Turf Tamers are prob. still one of the best all around tires out there. A bunch of guys out here use them. Dirt, Sand, Mud, Gravel are the 4 main things I ride in out here and they tend to wear out the stockers really fast.

I live east of Garson MB, north of Winnipeg. I'm racin just for fun...being 32 it's enough of a challeng keeping up to the young guns on the track!! Being only one class of ATV's here and about 15-20 peeps racing I'm hoping for a top 20 finish
SHOCKER
May 30 2004, 08:24 PM
You can race in a begginers class or a old guys class like 30+, that what effinbees77 raced in was a 30+ intermediate, but thye ohter challengers were good

I'd like to start out there but there's only 1 class...."ATV's" All ages and genders race in one class only. Untill there is a better turn out, it'll be like that. My quad should make up for the inexperiance I have on the track!!
