I've gotta throw one more name in the hat here.. While LOTS of people have put in lots of time on the ESA protest which might help keep our dunes open for our grandchildren to enjoy and pass on to their grandchildren, one gd.com'er has really put his heart into this and done everything he could think of to get our butts out there to make some changes. Thus, I nominate Sanduners for June DOTM.

How can you pick a duner of the month when the month isn't over yet? Freaks!! At the end of the month I'd also like to vote for sanduners.

Where's the moderator for this forum anyway? I've seen him lurking on the board plenty of times.

There I was posting more information about the protest rally and happened to look under my SANDUNERS name and what did you think I saw???

I will tell you it wasn't an easy task to do putting on a protest...
Especially after it got cancelled and we had to reorganize it in only a WEEK!!!

This makes me feel better that some do care and appreciate the hard work others do for OUR sport.

I made 3 trips to Carlsbad this past month (175miles round trip) and I sure didn't like changing that MH tire on the shoulder of the 78 freeway either... or the added expense of having to buy 4 new tires for the MH before the last trip to Carlsbad... $$$

It was worth it in the end though... especially when the PD officer told that pesty lady in Carlsbad to basically go effer self,,, that we were OK and to go have a nice day...

There were plenty of others that made the Protest happen and I thank them ALL.

Just remember... critisism about an activity is not critisism about the work involved! I think everyone knows just how much work you put into this event, whether they liked the idea, participated or not.
