I grew up on Mars, and still run a business there.

Smart man, since the business taxes on Mars are much less.

Oh wait, I just hijacked this thread. So sorry. Heaven forbid we talk about this stuff in a public forum.

Mars Way in La Mesa is still situated in San Diego County, California - apparently taxes are hideous here, but it's all I've ever known and being a small business owner allows a lot more leeway for technology and transportation write-offs than being the kind of W2 stiff I experimented with for a few years.

I'd feel bad about the thread hijack and would feel obligated to say something on-topic like "Damn, I'd love to try to ride me some Martian dunes in reduced gravity - might even be able to land jumps like my avatar rather than ragdoll seconds after the shutter snapped." But this is Steve's thread, so I'm okay with being a dick.

I've come to expect nothing less.
