Hey all.....again,
I mentioned this problem earlier in one of my other topics but I didn't really get what kind of problems it could be.
My '04 Banshee is puking anti-freeze when it is under load. I wasn't at the dunes, I was at the cinder (northern AZ). It mainly happened when I climbed competition hill there. When the bike is shut off, u dont here the anti-freze boiling like u normally. Plus I know Im not running it hot. I need to get in in-line temp gauge. Any words of advice would be nice. Thx.....
(Banshee is not even comparible to tstock, many mods)

you know if it was coming out of the radiator part or the over flow? it seemed like my banshee, my bros, and my friends bike all did this when it was going throughthe breakin period. i see you said it is an 04 w/ mods but who knows it still might be the same problem. when we had ours and it was still stock we rode it a longtime and it spewded like you are describing and then it stopped after about 20 hours or so of riding. i dont know if it is something that will stop but it might.
thats my $.02
i still am learnin banshees too. ivve only owned my for 3 years now.i know there are some on this page that know them inside and out so i could be wrong.

It seems to me that most banshees like to puke anti-freeze, just make sure you check to make sure you have enough. For Carrie's, the radiator is always full but the overflow empties after every ride

I used to constantly leak all over the pipes out of the radiatior. Someone on this board told me to leave the coolant at the minimal level. Hasn't leaked since. Haven't added any either.

Yeh, mine pukes out of the radiator hose above the exhaust. I like it there cuz when it does get hot, it lets yous know. Anyway.....I am going to try the 50/50 pre-mix and water wetter idea.
I am glad to hear that other banshee are doing it, shows that it isnt a problem with my bike but a problem with the banshee ddesign. When the bike was stock it would run fine. But now it is got a P-3 bore, stage-3 port, advanced timing, lightened flywheel, v-force reeds, blah blah blah and it is doing this overflow crap.
But anyway....thx for the ideas and any more would be nice.

I also use Maxima's Coolanol, and mine does puke on the pipes on occasion. My uncle's bike will do it after just about every hard ride, we've just kinda come to expect it. Maybe I'll try dropping the fluid down to the lower mark and see if that helps...

I have heard Coolanol, Water Wetter, Prestone (the orange stuff), and regular green anti-freeze.
In all your guys' opinion, what is the best coolant? Plus, would a bad head gasket make this happen? If the head gasket was bad, it would come out of the exhaust or spew on the side of the engine, right? (it isnt coming out the exhaust or spewing on the side of the case). Thx, guys

I have always used Maxima coolanol or Golden Spectro, whatever was available at the bike shop at the time.

Yes it would, When my bike was new it did the same thing tried the let it go down to it's own level thing kept doing it. Was told change out head gasket didn't think it was going to make a diff but that was the last time I had a problem. Through a new one on it won't hurt a thing and there not that much $ .

Just use the engine ice. It's premixed and works as good as the watter wetter. With that much into the engine you have to expect the pukeing. It's normal. You don't need to top off the coolant level though.

WHAT WRONG IS THAT THE IMPELLER ON THE WATER PUMP AINT WORKING RIGHT. THAT WHAT MAKES IT OVERHEAT AND THROW ANI-FREEZE

Would buying one of your billet impellers fix it? wrong... Banshees like to have the radiator full and the overflow should be just under the low line, otherwise they will puke all over the pipes. I have a mildly modded banshee going on five years, had this problem on the first few rides. If your impeller goes bad it just usually stops spinning...right?which = over heated or seized engine not puking radiator fluid....
As for coolant I was told buy reputable Banshee machanics to use coolanol or a premixed coolant similar because it is made specifically for aluminum radiators. Like in a toyota truck you have to use coolant for aluminum radiators because it will break down the metal faster and cause it to rust prematurely.

Dig! I had AM Racing(scumbag pieces of sh**) replace my impeler. He swore it was the reason. Didn't do a F-ing thing.
I think Pitbull was the one who first told me about the minimum line thing. Thanks bro!

What up guys, tried the anti-freeze low line level thing and it son't work. It sucks the tank dry. I feel it puking on my leg when I'm in it. Never over heats though. I want an inline temp gauge. <---good idea??? I'm going to see if it is a bad radiator cap. Buddy of mine said that could be the problem. The water pump is working. I can see the fluid flowing from one side to another. Plus I'm gonna try that engine ice. Hopefully it works......wish me luck.

I haven't had this issue myself, but I ran across this guys page the other day. Maybe this might be a fix to your problem if nothing else works.
