Lean baby lean. Sounds like both your pilot and main jet need to be changed out for some bigger ones. Maybe some of the raptor guys can give you an idea where you need to be. The popping is a classic sign of leaness.

Open up those fuel screws!!! I'm running a Big Gun with similiar jetting, and my screws are set at 3 turns out! If you need more advice on this, go to atvconnection.com Forums, Yamaha, and do a search on yoshi and jetting. Good luck...it's a pain adjusting the carbs on the reptile. Haz

Yes, 3 turns out on the screws. If you are running without the airbox lid you may need to increase the pilots to 27.5

ok, up and down the street ride report, i got to the carbs again...today was a pain in the ass since it was hot out side....i turned the air screws out 2 1/2 , put it all together...and rode it up and down the street....it didnt die or hesitate...it was running fine...i only rode it about 5 min....so when it cools off im gonna ride it about an hour and check the plug....there is a clear tube running a long the frame...where does it go on the carb...it looked like it didnt go anywhere so i just left it there.....
