I have an 01 Banshee with FMF Pipes, a K&N Air Intake, and Air Bottle. With those mods what size pilot Jet and Main Jets should I run out at Glamis? Thanks
AZ_Banshee
I have almost the identical setup on my 97 Banshee. Last season I was running a 30 pilot and 320 mains and was still lean. This year I'm going to try 340 mains. (but I'm taking a set of 320-350's with me so I can make adjustments).

Best thing to do is run it and check the plugs. If the color is too light you are lean, too dark and you are rich. The plugs should be a medium brown color.

I had your same exact setup and i found that this setup worked well.
If you are running a k&n with an airbox you should have: main 280
pilot 32.5

If you are running two k&n's w/o aribox you should run:
main 320
pilot 32.5
Pay attention to your plugs because every motor reacts different. Ambient temp can also make a difference.

I just went through this same problem too! I run an '01, Toomeys, K&N's (off the carbs) no airbox, and a boost bottle. After several tries, ( I am a Yamaha carb expert now:) ) I settled with a 310 main jet and stock pilots. It just depends on soooo much. I mix at 32:1. It runs a little rich but not enough to foul plugs.

It really does vary from one machine to the next. As you can see, some are running 280 mains, 310 mains and I was way too lean with 320's. You really have to check your plugs to be sure which is right for your machine.

The best thing to do is run it with your throttle half way and and shut it down to read the plugs. by letting go of the throttle and shutting it down it will make the carbs go rich when the throttle butterflys shut creating high vacuum and pulling in more throttle. i have been a carb tuner for some time and own a 94 banshee. take car
