wanted to post this last week, but had to work.

last saturday was the 2 year mark i've been on this board. i wanted to recap all the good times i've had, events i went to and everyone i've met.

the first 2 times i went to G was in aug. and oct. of '01. that second trip, somebody went to vendors for t-shirts and stickers and brought me back a sticker that said Glamisdunes.com. so i stuck it on my truck but never really thought about it(didnt have a computer). that was until the V.A. wanted me to go to school and they hooked me up with this computer. a month later i noticed that sticker on my truck again, so i decided to check it out. i was only a lurker for about 30 minutes, then joined and started posting. mostly in sandrail tech and truck n jeep tech because im a wrencher. then slowly started posting in other forums when i got a feel for what this board was about.

since then, i've been to sand sports super show the last 2 years and was in the group photos. met a few people(pastor, fng, bambam, crash, others).
in-excess was havin problems with his tranny mounts breaking, so i went to his shop and gave him a couple bracing ideas.
ISBB gave me that old YZ80 cause i wanted something to work on.
Mr.Budweiser sold me the KTM 250.
Looney Duner invited us to his house to hang out and have a few beers and tell G stories when we found out we only live a mile down the street. then went to a few of his tatt parties, and his b-day party. helped fix his buggy so he could sell it. he invited us along for the easter G trip. very cool guy, wish i had more friends like him.
went to bambam's b-day party, met a few more people(his wife pebbles(MILF), escos, chumm, bear downs and a few others i cant remember beer.gif ) esco invited us to his wedding, i ran into the sliding glass door and actually got to talk to slapp on the phone!!! beer.gif
A week later went to texas to pick up my new diesel pickup, driving home i stopped at the "Royal Palace AZ" and had a couple beers put my dollar up on the bar and the queen cooked me up some food facelick.gif the wierd part was we have the same b-day, even the same year. I B trippin yo!!! blink.gif the cool part was(never forget this) king made me follow him to the gas station and filled my tank to make sure i made it home!!! shock.gif
a few days after that went to S.D. supercross, drank the pink stuff mmmmmmm facelick.gif , alot of beers, kicked the hack around for 3 hours, and met alot of you effers icon_biggrin.gif had a great time. then crashed at crash's house laughing.gif january was a busy month.

AND A BUNCH OF OTHER LITTLE THINGS!!! icon_biggrin.gif

the only things i regret are not makin it to the escos wedding and not being able to go to G very much.

all in all it's been a great 2 years and im glad i met the ones i have. you people are the best and i hope this board is on line forever. Slappy's Neighborhood may be the enlightenment of glamis, but this whole board is my enlightenment!!!!

Nicely put! I think we all pretty much started out the same way here. I've met the most wonderful people on this board that have become not just my friends, but family. I couldn't have asked for a better group.

Yep..my thoughts exactly...truly an amazing group of people. Even though it's wierd at first cause everyone else seems to know everyone else but you..it's sooo worth it to get to know the gd.com crew..icon_smile.gif
ElCaminoManT

there are some people that just dont get this place, but thats thier problem. maybe if they were to slam their head into a wall, then they might get it.

Sycho, it is a pleasure havin you in the GD.com neighborhood, and thank the V.A. for settin you up with the tool to check it out. Ya know, Sycho, Slap's Great Grand Slap Pappy used to always say, "Slappy, on the road of life, until you find the way, there's always a way to lose your way until you find it."

And the only response Slap had to that was, "WHAT DA HECK HAVE YOU BEEN SMOKIN GRAND PAPPY? Time to lay off Grand Mammy's tobacco."

Great post Sycho! Very well said.

I feel the same way about this board, even though I have only met a handful of the people here, they all feel like family.
