I learned that if you don't set aside time for things you want to do and actually do it, time just keeps rolling with or without you.

I came to really appreciate the father and son buffalo joke in the movie Colors.
I learned there are still some quality people in Glamis.
I learned I can't fake it anymore and really need reading glasses.
I relearned all puppies are azzholes.
I learned getting up in the morning, working hard and hoping for the best is enough. There is no value in trying to solve a shiat load of "what ifs".
I learned that the new generation is about as effed up now as it was when I was the new generation and a change of perspective can be very unsettling.
I learned having a two, three and four iron in my golf bag look cool but are only good for killing snakes and trouble woods aren't just for woman and hackers.
I learned to appreciate other's bad azz buggies while thinking mine is good enough.

After years of spending tons of my money on material things, I learned that I don't need material things to be happy- having and being with good friends and family makes me happy.

Dont use anything but the driver, 8 iron and 7 iron and my 7 trouble wood 23 degree, and wedges

I can play a whole round with a 8 iron and doubt my score would change much

I learned allot in 2010 - Some things heart-warming, heart-breaking, frustrating and comforting - even rewarding.
...and that is the understatement of the decade.Do you know who you are? At your core? Your true self? I know who I am, but I'm not best representing the person I will be.
The number one realization I have finally admitted to myself - Is I need to stop dicking around and get some serious matters in order.
Time marches on and the hourglass is perpetually reaching toward that final last grain of sand.

I learned that people who you thought were good friends in 2010, arent the case 1 day into 2011. For no apparent reason, will start a indirect insult attack towards you and your wife on FB, then question your intelligence by saying its a inside joke between themselves and some random person, but dont have the balls to answer the phone when you want to know WTF. In that case, lost 3 friends....thx to one's in ability to control her gossiping, tweakerish ways.
...and I also like CANTIDUNE, learned dont mess with 67 yr old vets on a bus!

That's why I have avoided the whole FB thing.. Because it's very easy to say something on a computer, that you'd never say to a person's face. There are a few posts on GD, that I wish I could take back (I'm sorry OB).. I learned, I can only do what I can do.. I can't do more, so I don't stress about it if I can't do it. Tomarrow will bring it's own set of worries. I've learned I can be happy with a lot less than I used to make, and most of what I cut back on wasn't getting me anywhere, or truly making my life really any better either. I wish the best for everyone here on GD, and a more prosperous 2011..

I learned that when things seem solid; like you are certain they will not change, then can and often times do change, and not always for the best.
I have also learned that I need to be content where I am in life and not long for things to change back to what they were because baby, that ain't gonna happen.

I learned that as much as divorce is gonna suck, there is a girl that will make you forget all about it
And buying the truck you want on GD.com is freaking complicated.
And yes there maybe an old man on a bus that you should not eff with!!!

After a trip back home I confirmed why I love living in the desert. EFF snow, eff driving in snow, eff all the dumb effers driving like maniacs in the snow, and eff having to scrape ice and snow off your vehicle before driving in said effin snow!
It might get FREAKIN hot here, but it doesn't triple or quadruple the amount of time it takes to get from point A to point B either!

The most important thing I learned in 2010 was something I had learned many years ago. Through Travis ( big had) sharing his experience with the tragedy he and his family went through, and how he had to accept help from others when he thought tthere was none. How to let the small stuff go and remember there are friends out there. I too held on to tight. It feels good to know and remember that I do have friends and family that care.
Thanks Travis

Sorry to be negative but it's my reality.
I learned that when you think life can't possibly suck any worse... well... it can. 2010 sucked major arse on many levels, but I won't bore you with the details.
The only reason I haven't gone completely insane is because of my loving wife. QG means the World to me and is the only bright spot in my otherwise doomed life. Thanks baby!
2011 better get better or I'm going to move to Tijuana and sell Chicklets at the border.

I have learned that just because I bought a "smart" phone, doesn't make me any smarter. I, it would appear, am still an idiot, and the new phone just points it out to me more often than I used to get reminded.
Oh well, it looks cool!
