San Bernardino, CA (1/3/2011) - Glen Helen Raceway is excited to announce the upcoming Dirt Fest 2011. Held March 26-27, Dirt Fest 2011 combines all of the best elements of off-road racing and riding into two days of riding, racing, and fun!
This one of a kind event kicks off on Saturday, March 26. From 8am until dusk, riders of all skill levels can enjoy trail riding throughout the Glen Helen Raceway facility, with a Single Diamond trail and a more difficult Double Diamond trail, both approximately 4 miles in length.
For those who want to practice on one of Glen Helen Raceway's world-class tracks, the Lucas Oil Short Course track will be open for quad, Trophy Kart, and UTV practice sessions, the Peewee track will be open for 90cc's and below, and the USGP track will be available for quad practice only.
Saturday also features great events. UTVs and quads will race on the Lucas Oil Short Course, then a Poker Run takes place on the Single Diamond trail from 2PM-4PM. Ongoing events through the day include the Mud Bog Drags for all vehicles, the Baja drags, and the exciting Blind Drive Time Event in which the passenger is the navigator. There will also be a cook-off from 12PM-3PM, demo rides by Yamaha, Polaris, and Can-Am, and an outdoor drive-in movie.
Sunday, March 27, features much of the same action as Saturday, with open tracks and trails, as well as racing in all classes throughout the day. The action culminates with Round 1 of the thrilling 2011 Yamaha Quad-X Championship Series, a race that will see the best Quad riders in the Southwest go head-to-head for the overall.
As always, Glen Helen Raceway strives to make a positive atmosphere for families. Dirt Fest 2011 will offer lots of easy access overnight camping as well as plenty of family fun events. Gate fees are $20 per adult and $10 for children 6-12 for both days. Sunday admission only is $10 per adult and $5 for children 6-12

Quad X series is the old ITP ??????? I heard a couple of the top PRO's were not going to run that series and were either going back east or only doing WORKS. I have been throwing aroound the thought about running one or two of theAz. dates if I can get to the Gym enough to warrant going for it.
