Hi,

Im wondering if anyone knows or has any experience with modifying an intake manifold for ATC engines.

I have a 250R ATC that has a 200S engine in it, the guy that did the engine swap didnt take into account that the chain would be too tight against the top chain guide and eat it up real quick. Solution would be to lift the engine, but the carb hits the frame (the guy already notched the upper frame tube for some carb clearance)

I can lift the motor more IF the carb is lowered, giving the drive chain the correct angle across the swingarm so it doesnt wear out the rubber guide/protector.

So, the question is, can an intake manifold that angles down (lowering the carb) be installed and the thing still run? I dont know a thing about changing intake air flow kinda stuff.............thanks in advance.

Take the manifold to a welder and have them shorten it and reweld it. That's what I did with my 70. The aftermarket manifold was to tall also...
