Does anyone take their sandcar out to the desert around Phoenix. Where do you go. I have dirt tires so I'm itchen to go out inbetween now and pres day.
Any ideas where I would be able to open it up a little. Anyone want to go.

Another cool place is on Carefree Highway past the Lake Pleasant turnoff. Keep going on Carefree until you get to Mile Marker 11.5 and turn South. If you stage down that road there is both dirt and a big sand wash to play in. Don't turn north into the Boulders ohv area as there isnt much fun with the rail there.

That sounds cool and not to far. I've been to the boulders with the sandcar and there is no room on the trails to give it any gas.

I'd love to go with you. I keep wanting to go out in the desert but don't have anyone else to go with. Let me know what your planning and I'll try to go with.

the river bottom in morristown is the best place to open it up . its not huge but enough to put your foot in it . it is not far from the boulders . the boulders is great for quads but not enough room for a rail . even the river bottom gets old quick , its enough for a quick fix but thats it . tim

Seems like the west side of Table Mesa Rd may work too. I know there are lots of roads there that seem to go on forever. Don't know if you want to go somewhere that busy or not though.

only problem with Table Mesa is all the soccer ball sized rocks on the trails.

I took the Teryx out to Miller and I10 a few weeks ago and it seems like it might be ok for a car. I've been thinking about taking mine out there and running the powerline road that runs NW of there.
Isn't the area across the highway from Boulders OHV pretty small before it gets rough?

Id say the 11 mile wash up in carefree, start at the big wash on bartlett dam rd and follow it all the way to the Verde River, Its a wide sandy wash that goes a long way through rock wall canyons and trees its a great ride even in the heat of summer because theirs a river at the end.

also gets kind of crowded. We used to do that run on our quads all the time. we found that if you did it at night you could at least see the head lights of on comming traffic.... oh and it's only seven miles and it called Camp Creek Wash... Made it from the river to the road in about 12 minutes on the Banshee one time

We used to unload the bikes at Pima and Dynamite and single track it to that wash then head to the river before the shut the Pima and Dynamite area down. I was messing around doing wheelies at the river and a damn wasp flew into my helmet and stung me on the cheek several times before I could get my helmet off. I almost crashed my damn bike!!!

Had the same thing allmost happen to us. Thats when we switched over to nights. Now I can't see for chit at night and have no need to fly up that wash during the day, It's MX Tracks or Dunes only for me.

My scanner is not working so these are pics of pics. Truck weighed 5700 lbs with camper shell and a bunch of wood and tool boxes in the back. 3.73 gears and 11/15 bfgs. Truck ran high 12s at over 105mph through the lights. It was scary trying to stop it with drums on the rear. Had a lot of fun with it. Not only fast on the street could run 70 up sunset hill with a 20' searay and full load up to powell.
