I was wondering which aftermarket clutch is the best for the 2002 Honda 400ex? Which can take the most abuse without breaking, and which clutch is the smoothest?

hinson clutch basket and pressure plate.

im pretty sure that this combo will work on a 400ex also but on my built 250r i have just the stock plates and frictions with cr 500 springs and a hinson basket and preasure plate it works great

The best setup I have found is a Hinson backet and pressure plate with stock springs, frictions and plates. FYI CR500 springs are softer than trx/xr 400 springs. I also use a magura system.
